Roly Rogers - Executive Director
Recognized as a visionary in the provision of wireless solutions, Roly is the founder of ECONZ.
Roly initiated the development of wireless solutions at ECONZ by installing the ground breaking wireless fleet control system for the St John's Ambulance Service in 1984. This developed into a wireless dispatch system for the New Zealand Automobile Association in 1988. Roly saw the opportunities offshore and secured the first major deal overseas in 1999 with the Royal Queensland Automobile Club.
Roly believes it is essential that ECONZ continues to provide innovative solutions for its clients, a challenge readily achieved by the company's outstanding employees who enjoy using their advanced skills in leading edge work. |

Nicky Lowrie - Operations Manager
Nicky joined ECONZ wireless in April 2003 as support manager. Nicky comes from an extensive corporate background of ICT support and development management roles. Some of which include New Zealand Wines and Spirits, Lion Corporation Australia and Lion Breweries New Zealand, Lion is New Zealand’s largest brewing, liquor wholesaling and retailing entity, Computerland – New Zealand’s largest nationwide computer support services and supplier to the Small and medium sized business market. Nicky is responsible for the day-to-day development and support operations at ECONZ. Part of the support delivery operations at ECONZ wireless includes a 24 x 7 data hosting centre and a 24 x 7 thirty seat disaster recovery call centre for one of our major clients. Customers supported are located across New Zealand, Australia, USA and the United Kingdom. Nicky’s strong background in support systems and processes means a stellar service delivery to all our customers of which we are very proud of.

Alex Chau - Technical Officer
Alex holds the responsibility of Technical Manager for ECONZ.
With over 11 years experience in IT and a sound understanding of the full software development life cycle, Alex has leveraged this experience to
Identify deficiencies and stabilize many systems enabling customers to add new functionality and grow their respective businesses.
In 2003, Alex lead the ECONZ team that produced a Toughbook Tablet and software solution, New Zealand’s largest in-vehicle mobile tablet deployment at the time. This was built to receive and update the NZAA dispatch centre for customer call outs. This project was recognized in the New Zealand Computer Excellence awards winning in two categories and won best mobile solution at the NZ TUANZ awards:

Excellence in the use of IT for a Mobile Workforce
TUANZ Mobile service of the year 2004.
Prior to working at ECONZ, Alex worked for Infinity Solutions (previously
known as Trilogy) where he developed a number of applications in the transport logistics industry, technologies included bar-coding, scanners, labeling, track and trace, order & invoice printing, accounting software interfacing, and caller ID capturing. Alex holds a Bachelor of Science with First Class Honors from
University of Auckland.

Simon Clements - Project Manager
Simon joined ECONZ in 1980 and over his time with ECONZ has amassed a wealth of knowledge around enterprise project development. Simon has the major responsibility for ECONZ GIS mapping systems, GPS and the ECONZ dispatch products. Simon heads up the New South Wales Automobile Assoc. (NRMA) project and development / support team including responsibilities for Liaison with their management team and planning ongoing development. Simon is also involved with the GIS mapping work for New Zealand Automobile Association (NZAA.) Simon maintains a watching brief over all our projects to ensure best practices are met and delivered.
